WEDNESDAY 5TH JUNE 2024 WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

We’re thrilled to present three captivating short films, each with heartful stories and amazing solutions to activate you into action on behalf of Nature. Gather your friends and savor delicious food and drinks in a vibrant atmosphere, all while supporting local initiatives.

Sat 18 May 2024 - Shed Tours and Workshop 101, currumbin Woodwork and Craft Club

9am – 9.30am or 12-12.30pm: Tour and new Member Sign Up
10am – 12pm – Woodwork 101 Workshop
(optional but highly recommended!)

This week we are creating a camphor laurel timber chopping board or a serving platter with optional feet.

Discover the thrill of DIY with Tricia Genders, resident shed artisit, awesome woodwork teacher, and Chippy Chick.

You will learn measuring , cutting with a bandsaw, drilling, glueing, using drill press and hand drill, sanding on the belt sander and by hand.

BYO tape measure, pencil and your specs if you need them! NB please wear closed in shoes.

Cost $39 Spaces limited to 6 people. Payment made via BT prior to workshop to secure your place.

THE WOODWORK AND CRAFT CLUB in Galleon Way, Currumbin is the Gold Coast’s best kept secret. For the first time in 12 years it is opening doors on Saturdays to welcome new community members.

MEMBERSHIP/INVESTMENT: $75 per year
Includes:
• Insurance for one year
• Free blue card
• Free flat pack Tool Box We will make it together. (see example in photo)

(Down near soccer field)

Access:
Enter the front school car park, and follow the pick up lane to the right of the school. Our shed is located down a steep driveway down near the the soccer field.
